The River Film Festival, an international film festival that started in Padua in 2006, expands the schedule of its activities by inaugurating River South Bank, a ‘southern’ section of the RiFF in Padua with films, documentaries, short films, animations and new media (such as virtual reality) that will have the rugged and uncontaminated nature of north-western Basilicata as its ideal setting. The second edition will focus on the theme of climate change and human rights with the aim of promoting environmental and social culture through cinema.
Virtual reality screenings and projections of short films on the issue of global warming and space pollution will alternate with scientific educational talks with renowned experts in the field who will lead the audience towards reflections on the delicate balance between man and the environment and the relationship between climate and social behaviour.
The programme is divided into four days of events that will also include moments of sociability and discussion between guests and the public (social drinks) where local food and wine products will be highlighted.
