The River Film Festival brought Padua to the Croisette for the third time.
At the Italian Pavilion in Cannes, our founder Emilio Della Chiesa presented the story of the festival: a vision born twenty years ago along the banks of the Piovego, which over time has become an international meeting place for cinema, filmmakers, audiences and the city.
We were also delighted to welcome Fabrice Tepasso, producer at Laprod, and Lamia Chraibi, President of the Fondation Tamayouz Cinéma: precious guests whose presence reflects the increasingly international dimension of the River and the meaningful collaborations that will accompany this twentieth edition.
This edition marks an important milestone for us: a moment of maturity, awareness and renewed vision.
An anniversary that looks back at the history of the River, but above all looks ahead to its future: with new sections, new languages, an increasingly international perspective and the desire to remain a free space for encounter, discovery and dialogue through cinema.
From Padua to Cannes, and then back again to the banks of the Piovego.
